The Town Pump was subsequently renovated, and renamed The Sonar. It rarely gets live bands anymore.

"My group, NO FUN, opened for John Cale & Chris Spedding on October 20, 1986 at Vancouver's Town Pump. Chris (Spedding) used my musical partner, Paul Leahy's, guitar amplifier and cord for the show (and put the cord in his guitar case by mistake after)." - David Matychuk.
