Ric has always had a bit of Hemingway about him, dividing his "free" time equally between his two passions; outdoor sports and art. Rugby has been an important part of Ric's life since his college days. He even talked Ron into giving it a try for a time (and that was when Ron was old enough to know better, that rugby is definitely a young man's game!.). The sport of rugby has presented many lively possibilities for paintings, and has been a recurrent theme in their work.
