1980-ish

This was the very first pastel Ron and Ric painted as a collaboration. "Number One" is pastel on colored construction paper 14" X 17". We stood opposite of one another with the paper taped to a horizontal drawing board. Ric had been gifted a pastel collection (Grumbacher Series 11 Set No. 6 PORTRAIT Assortment of 60 Pastels With Wooden Box) and it was time to try out this medium. We had been working our way through one medium after another. Giving them a try to see how they worked. Pastels were next up.
